All day my Instagram and snapchat (find me at fashionabiykate) have been blowing up with pictures and videos of Starbucks’ new Unicorn Frappuccino. And though I will be indulging at some point in this social media bait, there is something even cuter showing up online.
The kind folks at Ikea Canada recently donated 10 doll beds, along with $300, to an animal shelter to save the cats from having to sleep on the “cold, hard floor”, Huffington Post Canada reported.
Turns out, many Ikea customers have found the company’s Duktig Doll Beds to be the perfect size for their feline companions, and now the cats at the non-profit Etobicoke Humane Society’s shelter will be resting in style.
The video above came from the grateful recipients at the Society. “Now the cats are elevated off the cold, hard floor. Our floors are easy to clean but not terribly comfortable to lay on,” the charity said.
“Now cats like Catsby and Frankie have beds of their own to curl up in,” it added.
The charity also took to Instagram to share the adorable images.
If you’re interested in giving a furry friend a good home, check out your local animal shelter or humane societies instead of going to the pet store. Adopt, don’t shop!
