As much as I love to experiment with my flavors when I bake, sometimes simple and classic is the way to go.
I started making this buttercream frosting when I was a little one. My Nunny has used it for decades, my Mom makes it, now I make it and whenever I do, everyone just loves it. And it goes on everything – any flavor cake, in between two homemade cookies for a makeshift cookie sandwich, on top of brownies. I’ve even been known to put it between two graham crackers for a yummy afternoon snack if I have some leftover from my last project. And it’s so simple. Seriously, it only has four ingredients!
Here is how you make the best buttercream frosting … period.
If you have any leftover frosting, keep it in the fridge until you are ready to use it again.
