Welcome to another edition of Friday Finds! Once again, here are some of my most recent discoveries.
I love everything French and this adorable little pot of yogurt is no exception. Oui yogurt by Yoplait is a French style yogurt that is sold in its own little glass pot. Not only was it a nice little addition to my Sunday breakfast table, but the “Merci Beaucoup” under the foil lid was such a great way to start the day! Unlike many yogurts on the market, this creamy treat is not overly sweet and the consistency is more like pudding than yogurt. If you don’t see them in your grocery store – wait – they just came out in mid-July. But keep your eyes peeled in the yogurt aisle for this delicious and healthy snack.
There are days when you walk out of the house and you feel like your makeup is melting off of your face. This makeup setting spray from Kate Somerville combats that feeling while providing a protective layer of SPF 50. I’ve only been using UncompliKated SPF Soft Focus Makeup Setting Spray for two or three weeks but it has already earned its place in my everyday makeup bag. A word of advice – go light or try to avoid the immediate eye area. I made that mistake and on a particularly sunny day my eyes began to tear as the SPF seeped into them. I’ve been more careful since then and it’s worked like a charm, keeping my makeup in place and my skin protected from the harmful sun.
I originally started this series for three reasons: I was missing the mystery that I got from my weekly episode of Pretty Little Liars, it came recommended by my Uncle Jon, and because it stars Mark Williams, better known as Mr. Weasley from the Harry Potter series. I expected Father Brown to be a very wholesome series since it’s set in a small English village and the super sleuth is the local priest – but boy was I wrong. There is always a message of hope at the end but that follows murder, revenge, families falling out and plenty of torrid affairs. If you’re looking for something that you can watch with your mom and dad without feeling uncomfortable but still find yourself enthralled in a fascinating whodunit check out Father Brown. Now in it’s seventh season, you can watch seasons one through six on Netflix and then catch the most recent episodes on PBS or the BBC.
