A few weeks ago I shared my favorite fall traditions, including Russell Orchards in Ipswich, Massachusetts. My family has been making the trip since I was a baby and that annual visit is now one I share with not only my mom and sister, but also my husband and my sister’s boyfriend.
Russell Orchards has the best apple cider doughnuts in the world. And when you get them hot out of the fryer? You’ll never eat them any other way ever again. Last Sunday we made our yearly visit and here are just a few memories from a great day at the farm.
The family owned and operated orchard boasts apple picking, a pumpkin patch, hayrides, a winery, plenty of produce and the opportunity to get up close and personal with some its animal tenants.
And of course, they have the most delicious Apple Cider Doughnut Sundae with fresh apple slices and caramel. Yum!
Big thanks to Russell Orchards for a wonderful time and the opportunity to share these memories.
Russell Orchards is about an hour north of Boston but if you go, take the scenic route. It might add a little time to your trip but you won’t regret it. I know that we always have so much fun with this family tradition.
